Announcing My New Lacrosse Sculpture am pleased to release my newest lacrosse sculpture. It stands approximately 11 inches tall. It is a study for I larger sculpture that I am starting on. As it is a maquette for a larger piece I am only releasing it in two small editions. The resin edition is limited to 30. I'm also releasing a bronze edition of 10. For more information please contact me at mike@mikecallfineart.com. The resin edition is cast in a very durable resin and finished with a bronze patina. This piece shows an Iroquois Warrior in the heat of the game, lunging to intercept the ball. I sculpted the lacrosse stick from a hand-made stick that my grandfather purchased at a lacrosse game on the Catturugas reservation in upstate New York shortly after World War II. He had it hanging in his office for years and I was always fascinated by the craftsmanship. This piece would make a great gift or recoginition for any lacrosse player, coach or fan.
